Verdo vs Simple Poll: what changes when votes become decisions
Simple Poll is a good polling app, and a more capable one than most comparison pages admit. This page is about the gap that remains after the poll closes — who owns it, what counts as agreement, and whether it actually happened.

The honest version
Simple Poll does single select, multi select, ranked choice, scale rating and short answer. It schedules polls, closes them after a set duration, sends reminders to people who haven't responded, supports anonymous responses on its paid plan, and exports results to CSV. If you have been told it is a thumbs-up-emoji tool, that is out of date.
What it is not — and does not try to be — is a system of record for decisions. A poll is a measurement. It tells you what people picked at a moment in time. It does not name who is accountable, it does not say in advance what result would count as agreement, and it has nothing to say a month later about whether the thing was done. Verdo is built for the decisions where those three gaps are the expensive part.
Side by side
Simple Poll capabilities as described on simplepoll.rocks and its Slack Marketplace listing, 28 September 2026. Simple Poll is a product of its respective owner and is not affiliated with Verdo. Products change — check their current pricing and feature pages before deciding on this table alone.
Use Simple Poll when
- You want a fast read on what people think, and the question does not need an owner.
- It is recurring or lightweight — meeting times, lunch, sprint mood, a quick preference check.
- You need survey-shaped questions: scale ratings, short answers, several questions in a row.
- Nobody will need to find the result again in three months.
Use Verdo when
- The question is “which one do we go with?” and someone has to own the answer.
- You need it closed by Friday under a rule everyone agreed to before voting started.
- The decision will be questioned later and you want the reasoning on the record.
- You want to know, a month on, whether the decision actually worked.
