Privacy Policy
Verdo (verdo.ink) is operated by Aethon Digital FZCO, a company registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Verdo is a separate product from Settle, with its own policy; this policy covers Verdo only.
What we collect
- Your workspace name and Slack team ID.
- Slack user IDs of admins, creators, and participants.
- Email addresses (from Slack sign-in, or provided for reminders).
- Decision content: titles, options, and votes.
- Usage analytics via PostHog (which features are used, basic device info). No vote content is sent to analytics.
Slack permissions we request

- users:read — show participant names on cards.
- im:write — send you reminder and outcome DMs.
- channels:read / groups:read — post to the channel you choose.
Where your data lives
All data is stored in the United States — AWS us-east-1 (Northern Virginia), on Supabase. Slack and integration tokens are encrypted at rest.
AI suggestions
When you use "Suggest options", only the decision title is sent to the Anthropic Claude API. No message history and no Slack content beyond the title are sent. Titles are cached via Upstash to avoid duplicate calls. Your data is never used to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run Verdo: Stripe (billing), Resend (email), Sentry (error tracking), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (rate limiting and cache), Supabase (database), Slack and Anthropic (as described above). Each is bound by its own data-processing terms. We do not sell your data. The full list, with what each one processes and where, is on the sub-processors page.
Retention
Workspace data means your decisions, their options, votes and outcomes, participant identities (Slack user ID, email), the audit log and the Slack installation. We keep it on these rules, and the deletions run automatically:
- While your subscription is active: we keep workspace data to provide the service.
- If you cancel, or your subscription ends: you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. The workspace is then read-only for 90 days, and you can still search and export every decision. After those 90 days its workspace data is permanently deleted.
- If you uninstall the Slack app or revoke its tokens: we delete the stored Slack tokens immediately. Your workspace history follows the subscription: it is kept while your subscription is active, and deleted 90 days after it ends.
- If you ask us to delete it: we complete the deletion within 30 days (see Your rights).
- Backups: deleted data is removed from our backups within 7 days, as older backups expire.
- Billing and tax records: kept as required by law.
Anonymity and vote data
Participant voting tokens are SHA-256 hashed and never stored in plaintext. Anonymous votes are recorded but cannot be de-anonymized — not by other participants, and not by us.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Email contact@aethondigital.net with the subject line "Privacy Request"; we complete deletion within 30 days of your request. If you own a workspace, we keep a minimal billing record as required by law and anonymise your personal details. Billing and tax records are kept as required by law. As a DMCC entity, Verdo is not subject to GDPR or CCPA, but we honor access and deletion requests regardless.
